The Burden of Sin

Have you ever thought how HEAVY is the burden of SIN???

Jesus said "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.....For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."-Matthew 11:28-30

Often times in our lives, we feel the burden of sin. But we read in Matthew 11:28-30 that we can exchange our heavy burdens for the easy burden of the Lord. His desire for us is not carry the weight of sin but release it because that is why He sent Jesus Christ to die on the cross for our sins. In reality, the burden of that sin has been overcome and has no place in our lives. The picture above reminded me of how we often times carry things God does not want us to carry. What a true blessing it was for me to tell the people that the burdens of their heart can be released to a loving God. That they can be in releationship with God just by accepting Jesus Christ as your savior and making a decision to believe in Him every day of your  life.

1Peter 5:7 " Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. "(KJV)

What burden are you carring today? Is it a burden of worry, discouragement, fear? I encourage you today to release it to God and trade it in for a burden of ease, joy and peace.
