Dear Friends of the Ministry,
It is with deep sadness and loss of words that we announce the sudden passing of Rev. Dr. John Varughese, Director of Ministries-Northern India, for Mathai Outreach Ministries Intl. He was suddenly taken from this world on Saturday, September 18. Dr. Varughese oversaw more than 200 churches, 80 to 100 native Missionaries and 3,000 New Believers in this region. He is survived by his wife Sheja, children Justin and Jennifer, parents and siblings. Funeral arrangements are underway at this time. Ipe left on Sunday to India to oversee all arrangements that need to be taken care of in relation to the funeral as well as the next steps of undertaking the great work Rev. John was involved. Please uphold Ipe for traveling mercies as so many things need to be taken care of in a short amount of time. Please pray for safety, good health, and all those involved in the ministry in Northern India as they all grieve the loss of Rev. John.
